ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As a member of our Curriculum and Instruction Content Team, you will contribute to improving our digital self-guided career learning experiences for youth aged 14-24. These experiences are designed to teach and foster career readiness and social-emotional learning (SEL) competencies essential for the workplace in engaging, fun, and meaningful ways. 

Reporting to the Senior Curriculum & Instruction Manager, you will produce high-quality educational content as we adapt, optimize, and migrate our existing educational content into a new platform. To thrive in this role, you’ll need an eye for instructional design, comfort navigating digital tools, and a strong ability to receive and incorporate feedback. Additionally, the ideal candidate has experience collaborating with a small, fast-moving team, and demonstrates adaptability and sound judgment about when to take initiative and when to ask for guidance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft, edit, curate, and produce new and existing digital career education content in various formats, such as videos, learning activities, and assessments.
  • Develop interactive elements and multimedia components for existing content to enhance engagement and make learning fun and impactful.
  • Leverage digital assessment and content production tools to author and edit interactive question types that teach and assess career learning outcomes.
  • Ensure all content adheres to our style guide, is clear, logical, and polished.
  • Maintain culturally responsive and age-appropriate content.
  • Respond constructively to feedback and make necessary revisions to submitted work.
  • Provide regular updates on assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Support other curriculum and content development tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Passion for supporting youth in their career development journey
  • Experience producing instructional content using digital tools for youth and young adults
  •  Strong writing skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into appealing and engaging experiences
  • Proficiency/willingness to learn software such as Learnosity, Canva, and Google Suite
  • Ability to make informed decisions in ambiguous situations and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles
  • Ability to receive and incorporate feedback and take direction
  • Highly organized, tech-savvy, and able to meet deadlines with keen attention to detail

BONUS POINTS

  • Familiarity with WIOA, CASEL, CTE, and/or ASCA standards and experience with state-specific standards
  • Experience working in career development, youth mentorship, and/or education
  • Familiarly using Learnosity and eLearning/authoring tools
  • Instructional prompt engineering using AI tools
  • NYC-based and willing to collaborate in our Flatiron office as needed

COMPENSATION
$32 to $36 an hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

This is a 1099 contract position. Must be willing to commit to 25 hours per week.
